A quiet moment before the story begins…
I wasn’t planning to talk about Book Two yet. Honestly, I thought I’d need months of quiet wandering before the next story in the Never series started to take shape. But sometimes a character taps you on the shoulder before you’re ready, and you realize they’ve been waiting for you to notice them.
That’s what happened with Allison.
I’ve known since the moment she stepped onto the page that she had her own story to tell—one rooted in identity, belonging, and the kind of emotional healing that doesn’t happen all at once but in small, brave steps. What I didn’t expect was how quickly her arc would begin to unfold in my mind.
I don’t have chapters yet. I don’t have a full outline. But I do have a spark—the kind that makes my chest bubble and my fingers itch to type.
What I can say is this:
Book Two explores found family from a different angle than Book One. It’s not about motherhood this time but about the quiet ache of not knowing where you come from… and the courage it takes to reach for connection anyway. It’s about the people who enter our lives unexpectedly, the ones who challenge us, steady us, and sometimes change everything.
Allison’s story surprised me—in the best way. And although it’s still early, the emotional heart of it feels right.
I’ll share more when the time is right. For now, just know that Book Two is waking up… and I’m excited to follow where it leads.
Some stories wake up slowly, but once they do… they don’t let go.
